The Ramada Liberty hotel opens its doors in 2007 after a partial refurbishment to rooms and public areas. The hotel is ideal for customers looking for a relaxing break. It is located in the hotel based resort of Skanes which is 5 minutes by taxi from Monastir airport.

The hotel offers 236 rooms including 30 adjoining. There are 12 suites and 2 flats with mini-bar (payable) and T.V. (one English speaking channel). All rooms are comfortable and they are equipped with air conditioning (July to mid September), safe deposit box (payable), hair-dryer, telephone and balcony with partial sea, swimming pool or front of house views.

Facilities:

The hotel’s main restaurant is buffet style and offers meals to an international clientele. Also, guests can choose to dine with family or with friends the best grilled meat or fresh fish at the Barbecue, opposite the swimming-pool (payable). There are two bars, the ‘American’ and the ‘Fontaine’ bar where guests can taste refreshing soft and alcohol cocktails and there is ‘Moorish’ cafe, a convivial space with oriental decoration and perfumes where one can enjoy the whole day, mint tea, Turkish coffee or smoke shisha with different flavours. Last but not least, the ‘Ibiza Beach’; guests can enjoy the dj’s good music in the soft sand of the beautiful beach till 2:00 a.m (high season only).

The AI programme consists of breakfast (06:00-10:00), lunch (12:30-14:30) and dinner (19:00-21:00, plus theme evenings), all buffet style with show cooking, served in the main restaurant Flamingo. During meals wine (red, rose, white) is offered. Late Continental breakfast takes place from 10:00-11:00 at the coffee shop Happy Days. Also at the disposal of the AI guests once per stay and with prior reservation is the Barbeque Flipper (lunch, 01/05 to 30/09) and the Al Maeda A la Carte restaurant (dinner). Late snacks are available between 22:00 & 24:00 at the Flamingo (buffet). Tea & coffee time with cakes (and crepes in summer) is from 16:00-17:30 at the Fountain bar. Locally produced alcoholic & non-alcoholic drinks like mineral water, fruit juices, beer, liqueurs, thibarine, boukha, gin, vodka, whiskey, wine, etc are served from 10:00-24:00 at selected bars.

Guests can enjoy the sports facilities the hotel offers; they can practice various activities such as ping-pong, petanque, volley-ball, tennis, archery and water-polo. Alternatively they can relax with sauna or enjoy a Turkish bath. The hotel offers an outdoor swimming pool, equipped with deckchairs and sunshades (mattresses for hire).There is a covered swimming pool as well. Also, there is a professional team of animators organising competitions and various games to cheer up the guests’ holidays.

Sport facilities at the hotel include archery, table tennis, tennis (upon reservation), basketball, volleyball, beach volley, water-polo, gymnastics, aqua gymnastics, pedalo & wind surfing once weekly (prior reservation / summer only), fun games, bowls, darts, mini golf, aerobics, umbrellas, deckchairs, mattresses and towels at the pool and the beach. There is also day & night animation for both adults & kids, mini club (4-12yrs old) and free entrance to the disco.

Safety deposit boxes, telephone calls, laundry, fitness, spa, fresh fruit juices, internet, floodlit tennis, tennis equipment, mini-bar as well as drinks at the English pub Zanzibar, the coffee shop Happy days, the night club Cosmos, the Moorish coffee and the mini spa centre are available at a charge.
